1.5°-path &
emissions neutrality
In the coming years, all companies in the world will be faced with the challenge of reducing their emissions year by year in such a way that the resulting global reduction path limits a temperature increase to around 1.5 degrees. Not every company will manage to perfectly meet the necessary reduction path every year.

Immediate emissions neutrality and 1.5 degree compatibility
From this, we derive the number of emission rights that need to be retired in order for the portfolio to be compatible with the 1.5 degree pathway overall. If that is not enough, all emissions can be neutralized via CAP₂. This makes the portfolio completely emission-neutral.
Against the background of EU emissions trading, it is ensured that emissions are actually reduced to the desired extent and not just in accounting terms.
