Dr. Christian Jasperneite
Founder and CEO
Christian is an economist with a PhD from the University of Passau and academic experience at Harvard University. He spent 25 years designing algorithmic models for financial markets and as CIO at two private banks. He is the architect of the CAPGEM model and leads our quantitative modeling efforts.
Prof. Dr. Hanjo Allinger
Founder
Hanjo studied economics at the University of Passau and was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University. He has worked extensively on the European Emission Trading System and advised the German government on climate policy. With over 20 years of experience in modeling macroeconomic dynamics, Hanjo serves as an ideal bridge between the academic world and CAP2’s practical initiatives, guiding the company’s strategic direction with deep expertise and insight.
Dr. Roman-David Kulko
Senior Analyst AI & Spectroscopy
Roman gained academic and practical skills as scientific researcher at the Centre for Applied Research, Deggendorf Institute of Technology. With a doctorate in chemistry, his work focuses on applied spectroscopy, sensor technologies, and AI-driven classification systems. He has contributed to the development of cost-effective VIS-NIR spectrometers and uses machine learning techniques to improve the resolution of sensors.
Michael Fernandes
Senior Analyst Physics
Michael gained extensive experience at Alcatel, NASA and as research associate at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. With a background in physics and a strong focus on data science and remote sensing, his academic work includes the application of clustering algorithms such as UMAP and k-means to spectral datasets from Mars missions. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in the fields of planetary surface analysis and machine learning for scientific imaging.
Dr. Rebekka Haller
Senior Economic Research Analyst
Rebekka holds a PhD in economics from the University of Hamburg and brings over 10 years of experience in financial and macroeconomic analysis. She previously managed large institutional portfolios using factor-based strategies and now leads CAP2’s data pipeline, econometric modeling, and signal generation.
Stefan Krottenthaler
Senior Climate Research Analyst
Stefan has 14 years of research experience in physical geography, spatial data analysis and satellite-based analysis of industrial activities. He completed his PhD at the University of Passau and developed CAP2’s proprietary methodology for analyzing thermal infrared satellite data to track industrial output in real time. He is also an expert in mining technologies and related infrastructure.

Kerstin studied business administration and has 12 years of experience as an executive assistant and project controller. She ensures excellent client onboarding, support, and training — helping clients get the most out of our dashboard, signals, and ongoing advisory.
